MYOPIA BOOK LAUNCH – CRAWLEY LIBRARY

DSCN3955

   Reading from my novel, ‘Myopia’.

The evening was a great success. Thanks to Crawley Library, especially Kate Green, and to WordFest for their support. Thanks also to Dawn Clubb, Head of English at The Holy Trinity School, Crawley.

It was a pleasing turn-out on a blustery day and we all enjoyed hearing the stories, poems, diaries and monologues written and read out by our Year 9 writing competition winners:

Ben Webster; George Hopkins; Emma Brades; Isma Saeed; Kirstyn Njini; Alice Rose; Lizzie Martin; Leila Harnett; Gabil Buvanaranjithan and Yasmin Kilcoyn

Their writings were based on themes from ‘Myopia’ – bullying. prejudice and seeing things from a new perspective.

Below is an artist’s impression of the character Mr Platt from ‘Myopia’.
